In this talk, Johan Rooryck will provide an overview of the goals, policies, and tools that have been developed by the 27 research organisations that have agreed to implement Plan S starting from 1 January 2021. Johan will give particular attention to the Rights Retention policy, which is now increasingly adopted by universities as well. cOAlition S has shown that a concerted effort by funders can significantly influence academic publishing.
